In the fall of 1997, renovations and extensive site work began. In March of 1998, the facility re-opened as Bestway of New York: Gouverneur Division with five employees and one truck.
Currently, Bestway of Gouverneur employs ten full-time people in addition to several seasonal employees. The delivery fleet has increased from one truck to five trucks, along with a maintenance shop to keep the fleet running.

In addition to the mainstay of pressure treated lumber, we have the capability to store numerous products in our warehouse to protect them from the elements. Those include corrugated steel, several types of insulation, a full line of James Hardie Siding Products, White Pine, Fire Retardant Lumber, Permanent Wood Foundation Lumber, Treated and Untreated Plywood, and miscellaneous pressure treated items such as spindles, lattice, and step stringers.
